What can I do here

The variable announcement is used when the customer wants to hear an audio notification first for incoming calls. This is useful if, for example, the customer has multiple phone numbers or wants to know which option was selected in the menu. When the call is answered, the person answering first hears the audio message. This way, a company name can be announced, a specific department (sales, support, etc.), or perhaps the language of choice (Dutch or English).

Fields

1. record a sound or upload a sound file under Sounds
2. select the phone number where you want to set up the variable announcement
3. go to the right position in the dial plan and click on add step
4. now select the variable announcement and the correct sound file
5. make a test call to check if the setting is correct

Tips: If it's not possible to set a variable caller name, for example because someone is in the car or the person cannot look at their display, then the variable announcement is a good alternative.
