Playing a message for the customer
The module is used when you want to inform the customer but don't expect information back from them. Below are several examples of different types of messages you can add to your dial plan.
Adding a welcome message
The customer calls your business number and immediately hears which company they've reached: 'Welcome to Voys!'
Please hold
The customer calls your business number and the phone has been ringing for several seconds: 'Please hold, we'll assist you as soon as possible'.
Would you like to try again later?
The customer calls your business number and the phone has been ringing for a while: 'We are currently experiencing high call volume, would you like to try again later?'
Adding a 'we are closed' message
The customer calls your business number outside of business hours: 'We are currently closed. We are open Monday through Friday from eight to five o'clock'.
Adding a 'holiday message'
The customer calls your business number on a national holiday: 'We are currently closed due to the holiday. We will reopen on the next business day at eight o'clock'.
Having the customer leave a voicemail
The ‣ module is used when you want to inform the customer what information you need them to leave in the voicemail that follows.
Calling the customer back later
The customer calls your business number and the phone has been ringing for a while: 'We are currently unable to answer the phone. Please leave your name and phone number, and we will call you back as soon as possible.'
Calling the customer back when you reopen
The customer calls your business number, but the business is already closed: 'We are currently closed. Please leave your name and phone number, and we will call you back on the next business day.'
