2. Settings
2.1 Changing the internal number
If you have changed the internal number of a VoIP account in freedom.voys.nl, the internal number on your device's display doesn't automatically update. This is because the number display on your device is independent of the data in Freedom.
2.2 Setting up encrypted calling
This guide only describes how to set up encrypted calling.
By default, calls between your device and the Voys telephony platform are unencrypted over your network and the internet. By using encryption, your calls are encrypted only between your phone and our platform.
Both the SIP packets and the audio itself (RTP) can be encrypted. This ensures that no one can listen to your conversation by intercepting network packets. We use TLS to encrypt the SIP packets. The RTP audio is secured using SRTP.
This guide only describes how to set up encrypted calling.
3. Problems
3.1 Incorrect phone number visible after transferring
Do you see your colleague's number on your device after transferring a call, instead of the customer's number? This could be related to the settings of your VoIP account.
- Log in to Freedom
- Click on Admin in the menu bar
- Select VoIP-account
- Click on the appropriate VoIP account
- Go to the Advanced (SIP) settings tab
- For Caller ID header, change from 'From SIP Header' to 'Remote Party-ID SIP header'
- Click on Save
Finding the IP address
- Press the menu key and navigate to Status. Then select Network and then TCP/IP Parameters.
- Enter the IP address in a browser, possibly with https:// before the IP address.
- Log in with the default password 456.
- Look for Caller Header ID in the interface and set it to Remote Party-ID SIP header.
Still not working? Make sure you have the same setting in both your VoIP account and your device, and try different options to see which one works.
