What is a dial plan?
You create a dial plan to ensure that your telephone traffic flows exactly as you want it to. If you don't have a dial plan yet or would like to know more about it, click here.
How do you add your (new) user account to the dial plan?
- Go to Dial plans
- Click on the phone number of the dial plan you want to modify.
- Click on Edit dial plan.
- The dial plan is now in Edit mode.
- Check in the dial plan where you want to be as a user. Click edit or add step.


- In the first dropdown menu, select the User module.
- In the second dropdown menu, choose your user account.
- Specify how much ring time you want to add. This indicates how many seconds your user account will ring. We recommend 20 seconds because the average caller doesn't want to wait longer when they hear a phone ringing. It's important that they don't hang up before they are forwarded to the next step in the dial plan.
- Click on Confirm.
- Does your user account need to be in other places in the dial plan? Modify those in the same way.
- Are you finished? Then click on Save changes and click save. Your user account is now live in your dial plan.
- Do you have more dial plans? Follow the steps above for those dial plans as well.
