How can Voys help?
ATA stands for Analogue Terminal Adapter and can be used to connect devices such as a fax machine to a VoIP network. It's also possible to connect an analog phone to an ATA. For sending and receiving faxes, it's easier to use the fax-2-email option.
Your analog fax, alarm system, or franking machine can work with VoIP, but due to the wide variety of hardware and communication methods, Voys unfortunately cannot support this. This means that using a fax, alarm system, or franking machine is at your own risk. What we can do is provide as many tips as possible about the settings you need to connect your ATA to our platform.

The ATA is now configured and ready to use! Connect the fax plug to Line 1 of the ATA.
If you also want to receive incoming faxes, place the VoIP account in your dial plan.
It doesn't work
The transmission speed (Baud rate) of the fax may be too fast in combination with VoIP. If possible, reduce this 'baud rate'.
Alarm
Warning!
An alarm system is usually a requirement for insurance. Check carefully if your insurance also allows the alarm system to function via VoIP, so that your coverage is guaranteed.
Franking Machine
A franking machine works based on a modem signal. An extremely stable internet connection is necessary for this. Voys has limited positive experience with franking machines, so using them in combination with VoIP is not recommended. If you still want to take a chance? Then this is at your own risk, and unfortunately, Voys cannot provide support.
