Groundwire is a paid softphone, available for Android and iOS. Follow the steps below to install and configure Groundwire.
- Download Groundwire.
- Open Groundwire.
- Click on General SIP account / New SIP account.
New Account
- In the Username field, enter your VoIP account ID.
- Go to Freedom
- Click on Admin
- Click on VoIP account.
- Behind each account you'll see the Account ID. Choose the Account ID that you want to use for Groundwire.
- For Password, enter your VoIP account password.
- Click on Admin
- Click on VoIP account.
- Behind each account you'll see the Password. Choose the Password for the Account ID that you selected earlier to use with Groundwire.

Other Settings
The settings below contain the information you need to fill in to make this softphone work with our platform.
- Domain: ha.voys.nl
- Display name: Can be filled in freely, choose your own name or your internal number.
- For Title and Display as, enter the internal number of your VoIP account (for example 201).
Push Notifications ensure that you can see incoming calls on your phone even when the app is not currently running.
iOS
For iOS, choose Push Notifications for Incoming Calls.
- When you select this, you will also see the Push Options. Click on these and enable the toggle for Single Instance.
Android
- For Android, you will receive a pop-up about Push Notifications on your screen, press Agree.
- If you haven't done this, after creating the account, tap on the three dots in the top right corner of the dialing screen.
- Tap on Settings, change Incoming Calls from off to Push Notifications.
Go back to the previous page and select 'Advanced Settings'
- Press on the audio Codecs for WiFi.
- Drag iLBC upwards by pressing on the lines and dragging it to the enabled codecs.
- Go back one step and press on Codecs for 3G or Codecs for mobile data.
- Drag iLBC upwards by pressing on the lines and dragging it to the enabled codecs.
Then go back to 'new account' and press the checkmark in the top right. You can now make and receive calls on your account.
Tip for iOS: If you experience problems with audio quality over Wi-Fi, you can choose to always route audio over 3G/4G/5G, even when connected to Wi-Fi. Under Settings -> Preferences -> 3G / Wi-Fi Selection, you can select 'Prefer 3G for Voice'.
